A younger and stronger Nog. Nog won't be able to compete with Brock for strength, it'll be like fighting a Sapp that knows what he's doing. Prime Nog was getting beat down by Sapp for a while. Post prime Nog against a much better wrestler who's as strong and powerful as Sapp was, nasty IMO. I would love to be wrong but I'd hate to watch it go the way I think it would. Id like Nog to retire tbh, his legacy is secure and that was a perfect moment to go out on, if he wants another fight then a legends match with Cro Cop would be better for me than seeing him getting beaten up by a top contender.
I would be interested in seeing it from a learning perspective. Lesnar could definitely lose but its his bout to lose. Nog is slow on his feet and a smart Brock could get some striking experience in. Nogs wrestling won't hold up to Lesnars takedowns so that can instil some new confidence in him. Nog has good jits so Lesnar can be smart with his jits defence. Lesnar might be able to really bull him physically. I think Lesnar can hit, and I've always said as much. He just isn't a well versed striker. Range, timing, accuracy, defence etc are all things he clearly hasn't mastered. If I could miraculously make him master them today then he could hit hard. As it is, I think his fights versus Herring, Couture and Mir show he does have pop.
He's a punishing top fighter too. Probably does the most damage on the ground of anyone in the UFC HW division other than Velasquez. Brock has problems with people that can stuff his takedowns, hit hard and get up quickly when they get taken down. Nog doesn't do any of that. Honestly a peak Nog would have had a tough time with Lesnar, never mind 2011 Nog.
yea man i agree with that aswell however i dont think he should continue fighting same with cro cop i think if they retire their records would be more creditable, however i believe the new heavyweights in the UFC and SF are on a different plateau of skill and big nog getting k.o'd by frank mir and cain was hard to watch same goes with cro cop.
