    If you fought bums for ten years and then won a title and defended it 3 years, what would you be remembered for? bum killing or 3 years of being a titlist?

    Well, I prefer (in history) Ali over Louis, Joshua over Wilder. However look at Tyson, one of the most known people in the history of boxing yet he never beat anyone good. I think it's the manner you dealt with your Defences

    We can just look at Golovkin as the real world case. He feasted on bums coming up, then feasted on bums as a titlist, until he fought Jacobs

    Vijender Singh is one of the famous celebrities in India just for winning some 'asia pacific' title :lol:

    He gets remembered there and he can't even get to any decent level. Which shows the low standards.

    martinez was happy to fight him but lost his title right after his comeback from injury against a HoF guy,so it didnt happen. Facing HoF was bigger than facing a titleless 3G.

    canelo fought him twice, jeez.

    cotto had lost to canelo by the time 3G won a title, why would 3G face him.

    the most feared and avoided champion at a time he wasnt a champion? He won his first title in the ring in 2015.

    perhaps but he does have some world level wins too.
    Joe calzaghe comes more to mind, excpet he didnt have a three year reign of a major title.
