It's not just middleweight, it's most of boxing. Too many casual fans who don't really 'know' the sport and its levels and too many trolls with an agenda to push. Anyone who's not on the P4P lists or headlining a PPV is a bum!!!

You're remembered for your defining fights on the world stage. No one outside your local community is going to care how many bums you've beaten over how long a period, else fighters like Brian Nielsen would be legends all over the world. Within your little bubble you might have some level of fame or even respect, but that's nothing to brag about.

Right now Wilder will be remembered for the Fury fight and how Fury got up from a knockdown to controversially draw after spectacularly outboxing him for the entire night. I don't think there's much else that Wilder will be remembered for. The Ortiz fight should be remembered as it was a good performance from Wilder, but I don't see it gaining traction among casual fans, and hardly anyone outside of boxing circles really knows who any of his other opponents were.

but you dont know what 3G will still do in his career. My prediction that he will conquer SMW next before retiring at LHW has yet to transpire...you know it could.

and then he wont be talking rubbish about it, it will be factual. You will see.

    Two ATGs, eight world titlists.

Holmes, Spinks, Bruno, Tucker, Thomas, Berbick, Tubbs, Golota, Botha, Ruddick, Biggs, Williams, Smith, Etienne, Nielson, Stewart, Ribalta, Green. Very solid resume.

If you kept reading you'd know I said that in jest. However that is not a 'very solid résumé', Lewis has a very solid résumé,

whilst noone disputes Holmes is a top ATG, he wasnt bona fide world class by then, certainly in view of him not having even a warm-up.

but the rest I agree with.

It wasnt the best version of Holmes but he was still a very good fighter. He was unluckynot to win a world title after this fight when he took McCall into very heavy waters, gave Holyfield a dexent fight at his peak, schooled Ray Mercer. He was very good for a few more years.

Lewis has a great resume, Tysons is still excellent even if its not that level. Youll not find maby heavyweights that have a better resume than Tyson, maybes twenty in the history of the sport. If thats not very solid then the division must be terrible.

mercer is overrated, he never reached title level, but the other guys beat him for sure because they were world class or above.

when i say holmes wasnt world class bona fide i mean title class. I agree he still had some world class attributes.

Tbf if Ward wanted to bring a small 160 up a decision he needed to compensate him. Ward was never a draw but because he had elite level skills he thought the world owes him a living.

Ps. Ward wins a clear UD had that happened
