I believe Dawson will KO Pascal if he is able to hurt him. I don't think he will come out looking for the KO. I don't think Pascal is in Dawson's league and he will be over his head.
I would be surprised if Dawson ko's Pascal. Dawson doesn't mind going for the distance, his ko percentage is not so good (although he faces some great chins).
Not really...This can come from an accumulation of punches...I dont really be surprised if a TKO happens...Dawson does have stinging combos that could cause problems for any 175 lber. In reality, I think Dawson outboxes him over 12 rounds...Probably a UD for Dawson (8-4 or 9-3)
I predict Dawson picking him apart from accurate counters so this could turn out to be a beating and possibly a corner stoppage. Pascal throws wild and Dawson has the good defense, footwork, technical ability, and handspeed to get out of the way of shots in order to counter him fast and badly. But on the other hand, Pascal can make him fight and I favor Pascal in a slugfest. Like Rudyard said, this can come from accumulation of punches.
A late TKO win for neither will surprise, nor will a decision either way. The only shocking thing would be a quick blowout early KO, no matter for whom.
Dawson isn't a ko artist, but he hits hard enough to keep his opponents humble. In some ways he's like Floyd where he'll cruise to a decision, but if that opportunity arises, he might score a knockdown. Dawson by decision.
I wouldn't rule out a late TKO, but I'd think this one will go the distance. Great match-up though, just the kind of fight boxing needs - the credibility of two young champions going head-to-head in their primes.
If pascal is game for the fight and displays any skills then he will get tko'd if he fights defensive and to survive he will go the distance because Chad takes his foot off the pedal when guys dont make the fight for him. He cannot be outboxed, period. If pascal doesnt stop him he has no chance. Basically, Pascal has no chance.
