Would you be surprised if Mayweather vs. Cotto is made for December?

It would make sense because of the winners from that and Margo/Pac could showdown in a huge megafight. However, it is highly unlikely to happen unless PBF and Arum kiss and make up.

then pac loses his 8 ounce gloves when he goes to 154. but what the hell, anything for a mayweather fight at this point.

pac went after floyd's leftovers in DLH and Hatton and now floyd has gone after pac's leftovers, JMM and Cotto......while i think floyd would beat cotto, as a MC fan i'd love to see what he has left with an elite fighter. I think he makes it interesting for about 5-6 rounds.

Not possible. Floyd is taking the rest of the year off. I just read that he raked in a total of $60 million this year so he's obviously in no rush to fight Pac or anyone else for that matter. I don't blame him. You can't really argue with him when: (1) He helped the sport tremendously by bringing in this yr's most PPV sales (2) He's made over $60 mil

Pac-Mayweather is already a huge megafight. These things have bubbles. Dragging the fight out anymore than it already has been is going to break the bubble and the sales will take a hit. The fight will still be big but not record breaking the way it was going to be.

Arum is not going to risk 3 of his biggest stars LOSING in a Pac, Cotto, Marg and PBF tourney.

That is a terrible business plan. Might as well give half the company to PBF for free, since it makes as much sense.

If it happens, floyd is brilliant. With mosley and cotto he will make big money off of fighters he has notoriously avoided. Kinda like saving the best for last and fans want to see the fights bad now since floyd ducked them for so long.

I think Pac already feasted on Mayweathers sloppy seconds (Hatton, Hoya)...and he was vaulted to p4p status for doing so. I don't want to see Mayweather v Cotto.

The only rationale I could think of for this fight is if Floyd/Cotto outsells Pac/Cotto and Mayweather can use that as rock solid justification for more than a 50/50 split. From an achievement standpoint, it doesn't mean anything, since Floyd already won a title at 154. From a reputational standpoint, Cotto lost a lot of the luster he had back when people were demanding the figh four years ago, so it just doesn't add anything for Floyd.

And the risk involved would be huge, not just the risk of Floyd actually losing, but the risk of Floyd NOT outselling Pac for that fight. No way Floyd takes it.

No one of note because HBO will never have him on again according to Roach.

I wouldn't be surprised, but it would definitely confirm that Mayweather ducked Pacquiao...

I would be shocked if Void were to get into a ring with Pac. Void is a fraid, very afraid.
