    It'd depend on what I stood to win.

    I'd heavily favour Williams, but not to the extent that I'd be my life if all I stood to win was a couple of £k. Change that to a couple of £Mil, and I'm gambling.

    I'm pretty sure Jacko argued Galento would beat Tyson (or perhaps it was Baer who he favored). Don't take him even remotely serious in these discussions.

    Is not betting your life on Cleve winning here really as crazy of a take as thinking galento beats Tyson though? It’s not like Cleve had a particularly great chin, and for all of Galento’s many flaws he was a very durable, hard hitting, and most importantly persistent guy. Hell, the only reason he was as successful as he was against Louis was due to the fact that he wouldn’t stop coming in with that left hook until his body literally couldn’t handle anymore.

    I’d favour Cleve by like 80-20 odds but if you were getting surgery and that surgery had 20% odds of killing you wouldn’t you be a bit anxious?

    I wouldn’t bet my LIFE on any fighter beating any fighter. But would I make Williams a heavy favorite to beat Galento ? Yes.
