Id love to have another fight, iv only fought in a freestyle karate comp.

If i fight again ill be doin a heap more cardio, i was so stuffed in my fights i couldnt kick with any power at all.

Id love to have a boxing fight, but i dont see it happening unless a mate would come to boxing with me more often.

I don't really have the time to commit to it, and I am too old now to really make a fist of it. I would love to more then anything though, and I think about it all the time. The training is the hardest part, and the biggest deterrent. To really do it properly and be in shape to fight, you have to try to break yourself each and every training session. Its the sort of thing I would only do if I knew my chance of success was high. I love sparring, but the running and the 5 days a week of intense bag/pad work plus weights ect is what kills me. The other factor is that it consumes your life. It isn't just a sport its a lifestyle. You have to watch what you eat, it takes up heaps of time, you are always tired at work ect. Still, even with all this, there is that part of me that thinks I will regret it if I never just find a good gym and at least try to get maybe 5-10 fights under my belt.

If I can find a good gym... Just a word of warning but some gyms won't train girls. My old gym didn't for instance. I have a listing of Brisbane gyms though, so I will start making some calls tomorrow and get back to you. My hours make it hard also. I work near Springfield/Camira, and finish usually just after 5. So I need to find a gym that trains suitable hours. I was going to join up the fortitude valley pcyc, which apparently has some decent amatuers, but they won't allow people to start after 5:30 which is too late. I was thinking of maybe training at westend or something? Does anybody know any good gyms?

    Im thinking about it currently.

I had a go a few years ago, was training 3-4 days a week and was looking to have an amateur fight or two but ended up breaking my jaw while sparring for what would have been my first fight. I haven't been back since as getting surgery took time and I wasn't really wrapped in the trainers (not to mention the 20kgs I put on).

I have had loads of fights but never in the ring and I hope that I never have another real fight again.

As for the ring no way lots of work no reward apart form the top 25 in the world in each class and I aint that good anyway and at 38 i am 2 old.
