He hits pretty hard but going up in weight has affected that obviously. He is a vicious combination puncher, even in his worst performance against Floyd he didn't half crack him a good one along the ropes before he got punished and put down for it.

I can see that some of you especially the Pac****$ didn't start watching boxing until 7 years ago. Marquez has his nick name for a reason and has damn good punching power. He use to knock heads off back in the day. He is a pure boxer/counter puncher and that helps as well with that punching power.

at the lighter weights before the whole memo thing came up he still had the same KO percentage as pac and pacquiao is looke at as a monster so Jmm should be considered a power puncher
