Would you consider Marciano and "Educated Brawler"?

    He is considered slightly above average and nothing more by credible boxing fans because his 4 best opponents - Louis Ezzard Walcott and Moore were all well past their best with all but Louis being light heavyweights.

    Marciano had a good fighing brain which isn't saying that he was a skilled practicioner but he knew what he had to do to win. He wasn't just a wild swinging brawler though. He was well taught by Charlie Goldman to maximize his physical strengths while minimizing his weaknesses. He was a clever brawler and when you combine that with his stamina and power you have a dangerous opponent.
