For example, when I hear rumours that a good fight might happen I now start to think "nah it won't happen" rather than get excited.

Is this just the nature of the sport? I would like to see Golovkin take on Eubank Jnr but I just have a feeling it won't get made.

Yes, but I'm pessimistic about almost everything.

I'm mostly optimistic but need to check myself every now and then. A lot of people here seem to be pessimistic to me.

You are a Wilder fan. That makes you extremely optimistic.

That doesn't mean I don't think he can lose, Wilder's chin is a huge liability, I just didn't think Povetkin was the guy to crack it.

I'm optimistic with fights that SHOULD HAPPEN then they never do

I'm pessimistic about fights that probably won't happen THEN THEY HAPPEN!

    Kovalev Ward
    Pac Floyd
    Even Klit Fury

Povetkin Wilder would have happened if Pov didn't get popped

all of these fights I never really expected to come off.

I thought Kovalev Stevenson would pull through. Same with Brook Vs someone decent...hasn't/didn't happened. Didn't really expect Cruz Frampton either so soon.

I'm optimistic Fury Wilder will happen at the end of the year...now it won't happen or Wlad will beat Fury :tired

Not in terms of fights happening but in terms of them living up to expectations. Last time a major fight lived up to my expectations was pac-Marquez 4.

Your nihilism is the counter to MVC's over the top optimistic views.

Most GGG fans seem to be the most pessimistic fans.

Also a lot of Floyd Mayweather haters have been very pessimistic.
