He still lost to Bivol, twice in my opinion.

But both guys are two of the best fighters I've ever seen, in two close contests and maybe Beterbiev wins if they were the same age. Who knows.

I think from recent times a prime kovalev would be a 50/50 with Beterbiev. I actually think kovalev would beat bivol though.

No. Not just Beterbiev, but no light heavyweight in history would clear out every former light heavyweight champion. Light heavyweight is a very tough division, so even greats like Loughran, Archie Moore, Bob Foster, Michael Spinks, etc... wouldn't be able to pull it off.

I don't even put him over Bivol who beat him twice.

Yeah i know i know 'not prime' and all that but Beterbiev didn't look that much slower when he fought Bivol than when he fought Gvozdyk and he'd learned some new skills by the time he fought Bivol.

    A young Beterbiev is a H2H monster at 175lbs.

It's actually insane how much disrespect Beterbiev is getting these days and has never really gotten his props when he was a champion either.

Bivol aged him out and also had the bigger promoter (Hearn) yet never pursued the other belt holders the same way Beterbiev did.

Beterbiev was actually the one who UNIFIED all the belts by taking them off other champions one by one. Not Bivol who showed chickheart for years and still refused to even SIGN the trilogy rematch even before his rematch.

I think Beterbiev won both fights against Bivol.

12th round in the rematch tells a lot, Bivol was being knocked out and was saved by the bell.

His eye was split open and bleeding badly

Bivol tired again and Beterbiev finished stronger.
