Fights are long enough. I understand 15 round would give more dramatic endings, more KO's, the tougher fighter would win but lets face it, safety first....

Absolutely. The championship rounds should never have been eliminated in the first place - and they wouldn't have been were it not for the need of TV networks to have fights fit into shorter timeslots.

theomplaint of course was that a big percentage of long term injurys in fights happened between rounds 13-15 so they got shortened.

but then now the majority of them happen in rounds 11 and 12.

guess we aught to take away those rounds too now eh?

    NO THATS STUPID!

I say bring em back....so many great fights wouldda changed without rounds 13-15.

I would support 15 round bouts in title fights to up the drama and to really test the combatants. Another idea for title fights is after 12 rounds if the judges have it scored even then an overtime round(s) would be implemented.

**** no, most of the fighters cant go 12 strong rounds why would you want to see 3 more:nut

15 round fights were over rated, and the reason that they changed it was they did research and found that after the 12th round the guy that was winning on the card went on to win something like 92% of the fights and there was a small percentage that ended in tko or ko after the 13th round. I dont remember the number but they were low...I should try and dig up that RING mag...It was from the mid 80's, Im not even sure were my mags are from the 80's, they may be at my brothers house.

Its to hard to restart once you have stopped. Its too hard for a fighter to get his mindset back. Good in theory:good

12 rounds is fine by me. 15 rounders would mean more rounds are at lower tempo to economize with energy. It would be a test of stamina rather than a test of skills.

I'd support a return to 15 round title fights if it was accompanied by same day weigh-ins.

Weight draining is more detrimental to safety than longer fights.

People sometimes forget this. Though to be honest, i see no point in there being an even number of rounds, all it does is promote draws. 13 would be interesting.

    No.

Rather than fight harder, fighters will just slow the pace down so not to run out of gas.

No, 12 is fine. If they were still doing 15 rounds, we would have had a lot more boxing deaths and we currently have too many in the sport.
