Let's assume for the sake of argument that Usyk beats the Parker-Wardley winner at 39 and retires. His top 10 wins would be: Fury x2, Joshua x2, Briedis, Dubois x2, Hunter, Chisora, Parker-Wardley winner

Usyk was the B-side in at least four of those fights (Fury 1, Joshua x2, Chisora) and fighting against a home fighter in five or six of them, only in one did he have home/A-side advantage (Dubois 1).

Consider this: Holyfield had five losses (Bowe 1, Moorer 1, Bowe 3, Lewis 2, Ruiz 2) and two draws (Lewis 1, Ruiz 3) at 39. He was more frequently the A-side than the B-side in big fights and had suffered 5 KD's at 38 (Cooper, Bowe x3, Ruiz), despite having a very good chin.

Given these facts, I don't think Holyfield would have got close to running Usyk's gauntlet. And if he wouldn't, would anyone else likely match it?

There is a glaring omission in Usyk's top 10 wins..... Where is Gassiev??? That is definitely in his top 5 wins never mind top 10. Not to mention many HWs who've sparred him have said he's the most powerful guy they've been in the ring with.

Hunter is a good win but is he clearly higher on Usyk's scalps than Glowacki or Bellew? He might be closer to Huck than those 2.

I don’t see Holyfield losing to anyone on Usyks resume but if Usyk had to go through Holyfields resume he’d have more losses than him.

Holyfield lost to a chinny blown up LHW.

Lost and drew with John Ruiz at 38/39.

Dropped another four results against Bowe and Lewis.

Down five times at 38, out once.

All of this while being A-side more often than B-side.

There's next to no chance Holyfield would run Usyk's gauntlet based on these facts, irrespective of how Usyk would do against anyone else's list.

There's no glaring omission: Gassiev has beaten no one of note at HW, lost to Wallin and got shut out by Usyk. Until he KO's someone of substance outside the gym he's not among Usyk's top opponents beaten.

Hunter gave Usyk his 2nd best CW fight after Briedis, stopped Bakole, schooled + dropped Kuzmin and drew with Povetkin, never been KO'd. Glowacki, Bellew and Huck (who was past his best) gave Usyk less competitive fights and accomplished far less at HW.

His cruiserweight accomplishments are similar to Breidis who likewise hasn't done anything at heavyweight

Holyfield's wins against Tyson and Bowe are so far ahead of anything Usyk has done at heavyweight. This crop of heavies is nothing compared to the '90s. Dubois would've been eaten alive in the '90s, and so would Joshua. Imagine Riddick Bowe against Dubois, it would've been target practice for 3/4 brutal rounds.

Briedis was a 3x cruiserweight titlist and a Ring cruiserweight champion, Gassiev was unified once and moved up to HW immediately after losing to Usyk, then did nothing for 5+ years before losing to Wallin. Briedis had 8 fights against serious cruisers, Gassiev 4. Briedis gave Usyk his most competitive fight winning 5 rounds, not getting dropped and never being outclassed, Gassiev lost via shut out.

Briedis has the better HW win: barely being touched by Charr and one-punching him in 5, neither Vitali or Povetkin performed so well. He also had UD wins over cruisers who fought at a good level at HW, Huck and Perez. Opetaia will likely move up to HW and perform well.

    A fringe contender KO'd a pre-prison Tyson.

Bowe never fought a bigger puncher than glass chinned cruiser Hide, who got a KD iirc. He also hit the deck against Holyfield and Golota, the best big heavyweight he ever fought. Perhaps he was kept away from big hitters but he certainly lacked defence and was retired by 29. So he would be getting KO'd against Usyk's list, probably more than once.

Idk why you people use this A side bs like it actually means something, you think Wladimir would have made more money fighting in Ukraine compared to Germany or the U.S? What makes Usyks any different? He’s a prize fighter, he’s going to fight wherever he makes the most profit. This is what prize fighters do, it’s been a staple in combat sports for nearly 200 years.

I just don’t see how Holyfield loses to anyone in Usyks resume, especially with how few fights he has. Holyfield before losing to Riddick Bowe already had the same amount of title fights and defenses and accomplishments Usyks had, I don’t see how Holyfield can’t replicate Usyks feat, especially since he fought and beat better competition.

Tyson was no good post-prison due to his drug addiction.
Bowe's only good win was Holyfield. So its kind of tautological.

I respectfully but strongly disagree. Bowe could be said to be marginally better than Joshua or Fury, but not starkly so. And Tyson was a trainwreck.

My take is this...what Usyk has accomplished is remarkable. I have no need to say he has the greatest record or the biggest wins. That is always going to be Ali. But yeah, a lot of the guys who are uber-respected heavies lost to lesser fighters than the ones Usyk beat.

Fair enough, he wasn't 88 Tyson, but it was still a solid win. Joshua had his soul taken by Ruiz, so that devalues Usyk's win against him, in my opinion. Fury also battled serious cocaine, alcohol, and weight issues before he fought Usyk, too; it wasn't the same Fury that beat Wlad. It really comes across like I am a Usyk hater, I'm not, I have him at #2 P4P, and he is in the top 10/15 of HW's all time. I just think he doesn't have the longevity or the resume at HW to truly put him alongside the greats, and people are getting carried away because he's beating fairly decent but basic fighters.

Tyson Fury's best wins after his addiction problem: WilderX2 and Whyte

Joshua's best win after Ruiz loss: Ruiz

Tysons' best win after prison: maybe Frank Bruno in the rematch?

Usyk is goin to retire undefeated with at least six wins over fellow titlists. No embarrassing losses like LHW Spinks, or Ross Purity. He'll be remembered as great.
