How do you reckon that chin would stack up against big punchers like Fitzsimmons, Moore, Foster, Spinks, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Muhammad. & Greb, Conn, Langford, Loughran, Tunney, Charles, Michalczewski, Ward

Roy is better at 160 & 168. In those divisions he's probably my pick. 175 is too far for the punch resistance.

I would never put my money against prime roy. Never. I don't mind the oponent.

Obviously prime roy was not HW roy, that's as clear as day, I dont think I have to explain that, but just in case.

I feel like a broken record here, but remember his chin only went AFTER the move back down from HW.

I'm not favoring anyone over Charles and Spinks.

Could Roy compete? Sure, Jones jr had other worldly speed and reflexes but timing beats speed and the greats would use his advantages against him, that's what makes them greats.

A quick Google reveals punches landed against Jones:

Julio César González: 14.9% (91 of 609 punches thrown)
Richard Hall: 22% (106 of 485 punches thrown)
Prince Badi Ajamu: 28% (141 of 499 punches thrown)
Antonio Tarver (first fight): 24% (120 of 504 punches thrown)

The greats of the light heavyweight division, especially big punchers would land slightly more and it would be enough to cause Roy issues.

A lot of those fighters OP named did it without PEDs, so no.

The 2nd Tarver fight ended in the 2nd round. I don't think Tarver landed 175 or threw 506 punches on Jones in a round and a half.
