Lets say you'd get 100 000 USD if you'd survive against Sergey Kovalev the 1st round. Would you try it?

Maybe 6 months training camp with Malik Scott and then try?

I would pay Sergey $75,000 of the $100,00 to only throw touch jabs that land only on my arms.

Personally? No, because my career requires the use of my brain and is worth more than that.

Assuming that there is a rule to stop the novice taking a knee every eight seconds, Sergey would take out basically all the novices to boxing in a round. Maybe minus a couple who naturally have iron chins as well as some boxing or MMA experience. It's only a bit of respect for his offence that allows people like Scott to run away for twelve rounds, besides Kovalev is much faster around the ring than Ortiz.

No problem. I'd grab him to stop him working, then hit him with a few mild body shots.
This seems to give him problems.

I said it before. I wouldn't beat Kovalev, obviously, but I would go the distance. I am the bigger man though, if I can keep the distance and outjab him, who knows. I do not want to be arrogant though, so I am not saying I beat him. But I wold gladly take this bet and become 100k richer.

If I can run for 3 minutes, hell yeah. If not, nope. I am unfortunately prone to headache (just headbanging for 5 second will give me one) which is why I never took boxing classes.

All relative. 100K even at my age is not enough money to make me do something like this. But that's because of my job and family giving me lots of money. If I was broke, I will do it.

Now for 1 Million, I will do it. For a celebrity's kid, probably 100 Million will do the trick.

For that guy working at Ralph's? He'll do it for 30k probably.

Of course and it'd be him who wouldn't get out of the 1st.

I had 8 bouts as an amateur at 69kg heaviest and with a backfoot style and so for a very ego-driven few seconds I thought about it, but realistically there'd just be absolutely no way of surviving that long.

Only legit good boxers with plenty of competitive experience in the ring would be able to last a 3 minute round with him (assuming literally running away etc gets a DQ). If you haven't fought before then it'd be totally impossible, regardless of size/toughness. Most random guys off the street might struggle to last a 3 minute round against a debuting amateur of similar size, let alone someone like Kovalev.
