Would you fight against Kovalev if you'd get 100K for survive 1st round?

I would but it already hurts to think that he: knocked down Hopkins in the first round and hurt Ward with a jab.
But he usually opens up more in the second and third rounds.
I would need some good insurance...

So let me get this straight. He KOs me before the end of round one and I get zero. I don't think so.

 

It'd be hard to run away anyway, the ring is not that big and Kovalev can move too.

You can't just "run" from Kovalev like boxers who come to survive and not to fight like Malik Scott against Ortiz. The reason why those guys are able to go the distance is because while being less skilled they still pose a significant threat and could potentially hurt and KO the elite boxer if he becomes reckless.

Kovalev would have absolutely nothing to fear from a novice or someone with minimal amateur boxing experience who trained a bit. He is just too fast, too powerful and too experienced to be hit back with counters by a novice or a hobbyist. Also, he wouldn't have to pace himself and save cardio for the rest of the fight. He would go all out, throw vicious combos at you, rush at you if you ran away etc. Those 3 minutes would feel like 30 minutes.

There's also the mental aspect, someone who is not used to get hit by an elite boxer would fold mentally after the first JAB would even touch him. Even top level pro boxers get shocked by Kovalev's power, imagine someone who never boxed or just boxed with other hobbyists.

 

I've been boxing for over 5 years, sparring regularly most weeks with guys of varying size (I'm between WW and LMW depending) and no matter how much I think about this, and whatever circumstances I try and picture, I just see absolutely no way of getting through 3 minutes.
As someone else noted, he would realise he didn't have much to fear and just walk you down and punish you. Regardless of headshots, one solid body blow from a big puncher like that would have most people begging for the fight to be called off.

For 100K, absolutely. My fighting style would be one
of the most booed styles in history for that first round

I meant like, literally sprinting away from him as if in a bizarre game of tag, lol, hence why I figure you'd just get DQ'd. Though actually you could easily be right and even that would just see you get KOd all the same.
