What about just ditching the excuses and giving out good old-fashioned credit to the winner.

 

I would give credit, it Would prove he did not cheat before the Mosely fight.. and that finding his trainer just try and cheat, that ****ed with his mind so he lost to mosely. It would also mean that the 1 1/2 years he was inactive contributed to his not so good comeback... he was a bit rusty in that fight, he should be 100% in this fight with a whole lot to prove so he will be very motivated.

Pac is a large betting favorite for a reason.

I don't care how great you think Pacquiao is, stop pretending like Marg is going to come in and do anything other than get beat up and potentially stopped.

To be fair, just about every opponent over the past 2 1/2 years besides Hatton to some has had a size advantage.

By this point it should be clear that an advantage in height, reach and weight isn't nearly enough to beat Pac. If Margarito wins, it will be because he outsmarted, fought, and wore down Pac; which he should deserve full credit for. I don't like this he won because he had the advantage in this or that, he won because he was the better man on the given night.

 

If Margo beats Pac, I'll give him a shitload of credit for having the ability to get the best of what I consider the best fighter of this era. So yes, he'll get alot of credit. But that doesn't change what I've said before.

 

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I'm not quite getting Philla's point. What's it to just state the obvious then (If it's no excuse). I hate fence-sitting jerk-offs. Like there is infinite worlds with infinite outcomes. Pac has about a 95% chance of winning so who the **** cares about outlining the reasons why either man has won. If Margo wins he should be getting huge credit, and we shouldn't have to be ****ing mentioning why because there's nothing obvious to indicate that he would win. Nobody ****ing thinks this way. Of course you're 100% right with fans bolstering the current opposition regardless of the reality. It gets done all the time, less often with the more hated boxers (Unless they truly man up).

 

If Tony wins, the members of the CSAC should be forced to watch the fight non stop -- 24/7 -- for 90 days. Immediately afterward the courts in California should rule in Tony's favor in his law suit against the CSAC, and the ruling should include each member of the CSAC giving Margo a blow job on HBO.

 

My point is that I hate how fickle and ******ed boxing fans have become. It's either all or nothing. You're either an ATG or a bum.

I'm all for giving credit, but its all about giving the right amount. I mean Pac was an underdog against Oscar right, but how much credit does he get for that fight now? If someone had said before the fight "I will give Pac credit but I will still say that Oscar was drained." you would be saying some dumb **** like "I hate fence-sitting jerkoffs." but that guy would be 100% right, and the jerkoff would be you.

 

Wouldn't he just be beating "a blown up, old guy".
