i started a thread like this a little while back and people seemed to like the idea. I personally would go to a cinema to watch - I'd be getting more of my money's worth watching on a big screen than watching at at home.

I would definitely be up for this were it not for the prospect of all the other dicks who'll be in attendance. Can imagine a 4am start ending in chaos with everyone rolling in after a night out.

I do like the idea though, definitely one I would support. :good

The Showcase chain explored the idea with F1 a couple of years ago.

I personally like the closed circuit model but I have my doubts about a cinema being an ideal venue. You would certainly need to up security for a start.

saw quite a few fights in Cinemas back in the day. Used to call it "closed circuit tv" or something like that. Always full of **** heads. Always kicked off. The first one I remember was Holmes v Clooney. Went on a coach to Portsmouth to see Hagler v Hearns.

Ive watched one at the Cinema with a few mates when we were State side and it was a right giggle.
Ive been to Rileys to watch fights when I didn't have Sky TV - same deal, loads of people around to watch the fight and a good bit of banter amongst us punters. Not sure it would be a good idea if there were 2 British fighters, it could kick off with the opposing "fans"

The only worry is the **** heads at 3am. It only takes a few to spoil it for everyone and they usually manage to do a good job thinking they are hard as **** after a few shandies, trying to fight everything from their own shadows to their best mates.

sounds pretty cool to me, good luck with that, like others my only issue would be a few pricks spoiling it for everyone else, if only pure boxing fans showed up though it would be class
