I am wondering how intrested you guys would be if a show was put on featuring young mexican and latin american fighters??? Maybe a main event featuring a local fighter against one.
Yep. I would be very interested. I would want the fighters to be good prosects and guys that have a steady resume. I doubt it could work though because of the lack of ticket sales. Promoters need local lads who bring a few fans in and a few fighters who attract 100 or so spectators. I like the way the Irish promoter is doing it with the Cuban guys he has brought over, very good idea and if it was closer I would go to those shows.
Yeah I would definitely like to see some of that. But like dwilson said above you'd probably need it to be a bill of all local lads vs the mexican/latin fighters. Be great to see though.
Yep would love to see that, so much raw talent comes out of Mexico/Latin America ... it would be good to get a chance to see them before they become names. It would be good for young UK boxers to get in there early with them too. This is why sopcast is so good.
Would be tough to find british fighters prepard to fight the mexicans, especially if they are decent ones. Im thinking for example. If you were to get the York Hall, 10 fights (Light Middleweight Downwards) of guys with winning records from Mexico, Cuba, South America, Puerto Rico. Then maybe have 2 lads from London in main event against 2 mexicans. you reckon people would show up?
Yeah I'm afraid to say you'd need a good few local lads to sell tickets and/or a name or 2 else it will just be hardcore boxing fans turning up.
yeh but will enough harcore boxing fans show up??? the york hall holds what, 1,000 people? these guys wont get paid much, the plane tickets and having them stay here would cost more.
