Would you have a problem with Floyd versus Guerrero now?

I'd love to see Floyd slap him around. So no problem with me. We also have to understand that with these promoter beefs, both Pac and Floyd are limited in their options. Aside from Martinez and each other, the Guerreros and the rest are the best tier available.

Floyd would fight anyone as long as they are not threat to his precious zero.

yes i'd have a problem with it because it'd be YET ANOTHER case of the so called P4P #1 not taking the best possible fights

 

Guerrero needs one or two more fights against top 10 WW contenders.

 

i think it is an acceptable and competitive fight... and stylistically, i give it to Guerrerro.
Mayweather doesnt like pressure fighters because its hard to deter their volume punching, and its hard to consistently counter volume punching w/o getting hit back.

Guerrero seemed to know how to break down the high shoulder guard by positioning and footwork.... AND he's a lefty. His straight left wasn't very defendable against the high shoulder guard.

 

I would think it is handpicking because I think Floyd would be looking for a guy who is open for him and slower. Guerrero was expected to lose the fight, and Berto was seen as a overrated from a two years ago. And who knows what this fight with Berto took out of Guerrero. What a fight it was, but Floyd has to fight Pacman or retire. There is no point in fighting smaller fights if he has Manny to fight. It looks like fear. Those fights always diminish fighters. They add to the legacy but diminish fighters a little. It is hard for guys to get up for fights like that and fight everytime the same way. Gatti could do it, but many guys cannot. Hagler after Hearns could never motivate himself to fight as well as he did that night.

Excellent point!!! I was thinking the exact same thing, that was a ****ing war. When I handicap his next fight, that will be a factor!

 

he should wait till the pac fight is over n fight him. if that cant happen once again guerrero has so many options.

:rofl You gotta be kidding me! You can not use Berto's *******ized, hell spawn version of a wannabe shoulder roll, as measuring stick for how he will fair against Mayweather's shoulder roll. That's like comparing a chip steak to fillet mignon.

2. Please tell me your not comparing Berto's mediocre defensive skills to Floyd's ATG defensive skills?

 

Pac fight isn't happening. Don't know why people keep bringing it up. Guerrero, although not having any chance at all, is not that awful of a pick considering what's out there. Martinez aside, below is the talent pool that's available:

- Canelo is too green
- Alexander is no more dangerous than a Ortiz
- Berto keeps losing
- Khan also keeps losing
- Maidana would have little chance
- Matthysse also would have little chance
- Garcia is average

Is Guerrero any worse than those guys?
