Would you honestly favor Floyd and Manny over these fighters at welterweight?

Prime for Prime, I dont think May or Manny could handle this. These guys in terms of ability alone were truly great. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGWtCqwMrpM[/ame]

The difference in speed and energy compared to the version later on is astonishing.

No doubt they were both thoroughly diminished when they fought Floyd and Pac. However, Floyd and Pac are also great fighters. I certainly wouldn't favor them over those versions of Oscar or Mosley though. However, Oscar made the first fight with Shane much tougher than he had to by slugging it out... he could have easily outboxed Shane and used his jab like he did in the second fight. Of course... the judges robbed him in that fight, but that's neither here nor there.

The shane that beat oscar could beat a lot of ww's in history. Same can be said for the oscar that beat tito.

If floyd/pac rack up a few more meaningful victories at the limit and we get a greater idea of how they are, then well time will tell.

As I told before, Pacquiao is all wrong for Oscar. Pacquiao is the type of fighter that always confused Oscar. In Oscar's book he told there are times, he does not now what to do in the ring. If lesser fighters, confused Oscar, what more with an akward fighter like Pac. Also Oscar is left dependent, this is the type of fighter that Pac always dominate. Oscar is just a bigger version of MAB, and you could argue that MAB has more skills than Oscar.

Regarding Mosley, this will be a tougher fight. I think Pac can win against Mosley.

If you will notice that for the rare moment that Pacquiao was on the ropes against Oscar, Oscar throw very fast combinations. The problem is Oscar does not have a stationary target with Pacquiao the whole fight. As I told, style wise, Pac would always trouble Oscar.

^ Nah, this version of Shane knocks Floyd out. Look at what the old, handicapped version did to Floyd. Shane was too big, too fast, to strong for Floyd to beat.

Hoya beats Floyd in a decision. I think Pac does better against both of them then Floyd does.

shane was just that good, that's why freddy was having doubts to have a pac-shane match. Shane was, although already a granny, still a dangerous fighter. (shane just fought 2 of the best WWs that's why he lost).

Mosley never could handle a good boxer....Floyd beats him but would be closer. Now Pac vs Mosley would definitely been more competitive....50/50.

Oscar does better against both...his jab alone makes it a more compelling fight and a winnable fight...50/50 with both fighters.

for oscar, oscar would still trouble floyd. With better jab, better conditioning of a 20+ body not a 34yo body, he might pull a win, but still, very close.

30yo pac vs 28yo oscar: oscar seems to be troubles against fighters with good footwork and great handspeeds. Pac imo wins in a close ud. But a well placed 45 would kd pac all along the fight. But, again, confusion on oscar sets in as pac laterally moves to oscar's left. But but butt.

$ outboxes Mosley and makes him look like a slugger. Floyd wins a 7-5 type of decision against Oscar on Oscar's best night, a real 7-5 decision, not Oscar paying off the judges for a SD bull****. Oscar was always way too inconsistent to beat Floyd. You'll never know which Oscar would show up. Oscar didn't have the best control of his opponents, he would win a round and lose the next.

emmanuel is stylistic nightmare for southpaw defectors like Cottoe, Oscar, Barrera, etc. Sugar Shane Mosley, not Sour Shot Oldsley, ktfo emmanuel. Sour Shot Oldsley had all these opportunities to counter emmanuel but couldn't react to the openings being a shot fighter.
