Learn the fundamentals of boxing and you'd understand why JMM (and Morales) gave Pac so much trouble. It was the footwork. Pac had fast feet but he always moved in one direction and didn't know how to cut off the ring. That has changed. Pac today would whoop JMM, believe me.

As much as I love watching JMM fights, I tend to agree. Pacquiao is like a machine-gun at 147. It wouldn't be fair to JMM who made 134 at the weigh in

The hand speed isnt even close fool. The speed difference is completely different levels. Hatton has great foot speed, but hand speed he's slow, and so is Cotto. Cotto has absolutely no hand speed unless he's throwing hooks to the body. His jab is slow and his crosses are slow.

He still doesnt know how to cut off the ring based off the fact that Cotto was jabbing his ass easy off the back foot. He tried to use his footwork against JMM and Morales, but its hard to use footwork when your opponent also has great footwork and can read and execute angles just as good as you can. Pac would try to confuse JMM with movement and JMM wasnt having it. He was right there with him.

JMM is much older, and Pacquiaos power his increased. Maybe so. But Floyd who emulates Morales and JMM in the effectiveness of his right hand, the ability to nuetralize Pacquiaos defense and land punches from any angle. Pac gets his ass whipped just like JMM whooped his ass twice.

 

1. Foot work, especially under pressure.
2. Right - used more often as the power shot
3. Upper body feints and evasion.
