No, Berto is a natural WW with power and speed,he 's got some stamina issues but he's a welter weight and Floyd must fight guys equal to him.

Too many other good options for Floyd, 2 of which have expiration dates. Be an ATG and fight the meaningful fights.

Moot point, he'd never do it. Makes no sense financially.

Here's the list of boxers I want Floyd to fight in order of priority:

    1. Winner of PAC-Cotto
    2. Mosley
    3. Williams
    4. Clottey
    5. Loser of PAC-Cotto

this poll just goes to show the different standard that Floyd is held to. funny thing is if anyone of the fighters that people are saying are the only fighters that Floyd should fight, were to fight Berto it would be seen as a great fight and very viable. BUT floyd isnt allowed that road. Truth is it doesnt matter who Floyd fights after the final bell rings and if he is standing as the winner there will be excuses.:patsch

If he doesn't fight Mosley or Pacquiao he should fight Berto. I'd want to see him fight Mosley personally.

The "makes no sense financially" is an excuse. The only reason it makes no sense is because Floyd couldn't sell the fight. But if hes just fighting for the money he will never be great. If its about legacy then yes Berto would be a better fight than Pacman but not better than Mosley, mainly because Berto is young and the same size.

You're 100% correct. Mosley is actually slated to fight Berto. And he's doing so after straight up saying he wouldn't fight Williams. I doubt you'll see many people knocking him for that. The standard for Floyd is very high.

How do you figure Berto is faster than Floyd?

Don't worry! Floyd will not fight Berto. Andre is a true welterweight nearing his prime. Floyd doesn't fight guys like that.

For pure hand speed he might be, just watching I'd say their equal. Difference is that Floyd can sustain that better, Berto got sloppy quickly against Collazo. As for foot speed and agility Floyd is obviously much faster.

a lot of that is b/c of floyd himself.

floyd is all about 'if it dont make dollars it dont make sense' so why would he even waste his time with berto when the big $$$ fights are with mosley/pac/cotto???

DIdn't he say fighting Shane is not a big money fight and that Cotto isn't a big draw...and then he goes for...Berto? What? I thought he was only about big money fights?

Imagine if he cleared out those guys all within a year and a half. Floyd would be a boxing God.

I'd love to see PBF in a 15 rounder.

That's moronic cuz as soon as he put the beats on that man your next job would be to come on here and say he took the safe way out by fighting a dude he knew he could beat.
