Why not, as long as it was an MMA fighter that had decent boxing skills.

maybe when he was younger Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira[little nog] may of been ok up to a point.
A proficient amateur boxer, he was the 2006 and 2007 Brazilian Super Heavyweight Champion. He also won a bronze medal in the 2007 Pan American Games.

you lads going on as though prizefighter is made up of p4p greatness, there are plenty of guys in mma who could venture into prizefighter and win

the last prizefighter was of low quality and there are plenty of mma guys who have had pro boxing experience who would of been way more highly regarded than the last batch eddie put out

Well Rampage has just had what was his probably last UFC fight and he said that he wants to compete outside of the UFC wheter it's MMA or boxing so this would be a realistic option

There's a load of guys in MMA who would do well against domestic level fighters in a Prizefighter format. Comparing it to a footballer entering is ****ing ridiculous as these guys train boxing regularly as part over their overall training regimes. Also, there's several guys in the UFC with decent to good amateur careers. There's none who could compete at World level but off the top of my head I'd say the following guys could do well enough against domestic level fighters in a prizefighter format:

    BJ Penn
    Urijah Faber
    KJ Noons
    Anderson Silva
    Dan Henderson
    Rogerio Noguiera
    The Diaz Brothers
    Overeem
    Sam Stout

I'm no real MMA fan but Jesus Christ c'mon! It's a big world out there and boxing isn't the only striking sport that is as brutal as it is scientific with high skill sets. There are MMA fighters in Asia you know! The western based UFC doesn't represent the whole of the MMA world. There are super experienced stand up strikers that come out of tough and Scientific disciplines like Muay Thai and the sweet science that have been fighting as pros since they were little kids with pro records in the 100s, some 300-400s.

Yodsanan 3K Battery. WBA Super Featherweight Champ and quality Muay Thai fighter before that. His boxing record was 58-3-1 & 47KOs. He's now an MMA fighter.
