Lineal = Beating The Man who beat The Man

 

I'm not sure about that that first definition. Linear in this context means "decended from" and is just another word for Lineal.

 

well i am pretty sure im right. ive never heard it used in that way, especially when used in boxing terms.
i can find no definition of "linear" as descended from......that is basically the definition of "lineal"...and they arent the same word, they dont mean the same.

everyone knows lineal is beating The Man..e.g. if Haye were to beat Wlad, the lineage of the world title would run through him(of course, based on the acceptance that Wlad is The Man currently, a position hes pretty much established now. The lineage died went lennox retired...but Wlad is now "The Man")

Plenty of different words have the same meaning. I agree in this context that lineal means "the man who beat the man", I don't think that "linear" means anything to do with belt unification that "lineal" doesn't.

Not really.

Chisora is a good talent but lets see him fight a few more domestic fights and then progress him sensibly onto the European stage. If he does well there, then stick him in a crossroads fight against a name and then look for World honours.

He is good but there is no sense in potentially flushing his career away by sticking him in with WALDO after a handful of fights on the British scene.
