Boxing should use this SMW tournament as the example to follow, would you like to see a JWW Super 6 with these fighters? Ricky Hatton Tim Bradley Amir Khan Devon Alexander Nate Campbell Kendall Holt Or is there anyone you'd replace on the list? Who would win this one?
Yes. The super middleweight and light welterweight divisions are probably the most competitive right now.
I voted for Khan. Maybe Hatton but he isn't the same anymore. He might be post-prime. Khan is still a really good boxer.
X out Devon(?), Hatton(coughing blood in hospital), and put in JMM/ Pac, and pretty much at the end they'll meet each other. :yep
I'd be more inclined to stick Pac in a 147 tournament, I was thinking about JMM but where do you put him, he's fighting at WW next but he is unproven even at 140. 147: Mosley Cotto Mayweather Pacquiao Berto Clottey Not that this would ever happen with that bunch of prima-donnas.
I would like to se a super 6 in every weight division , its a true way to see who is the best fighter in any weight division not only that it secures top fighters vs top fighters every fight , however LWW super six should be with these men : Juan Manuel Marquez Tim Bradley Amir Khan Marcos Maidana Kendal Holt Devon Alexander Providing Hatton is retired that would be my 6 if Ricky comes back he comes in for Holt !!!!!!!! I like the look of that !!!!!!!!!
Maidana .. good call. I would maybe replace Holt with Maidana ... Ricky might still have something in the tank or certainly enough to hang with these guys ... Pacquiao & Mayweather were just a bridge too far for him.
i think hatton is still ranked up there and would be competitive against any one of those 5 fighters easily maybe even whoop all of them.
Agree'd but the damage is done buddy we need to move on and swallow the bitter pill that Hatton is done !!!!! You may or maynot be a Hatton lover but i am and for me he loses 50% of fights in amongst these boys and for me i just couldnt take any more of that !!!!!!!
Every weight class needs a tournament like the Super Six Super Middleweights. In particular, Welterweight and Junior Welterweight. These kind of tournaments could be watershed moments in boxing, i.e., the tournament competition would be more important than the alphabet belts. It changes the landscape and limits cherry-picking.
