I think there's some truth to this.

I also think this fight answered the question of what would've happened of the Italian ref in the AJ Parker fight had allowed fighting on the inside. It would been to AJ's advantage and indeed I think AJ would've stopped Parker.

He needs to work on his game. He needs to identify the weaknessss and address them. Whether he can do that with his existing trainer I don't know. It sounded like they were telling him between the rounds but he either wasn't listening or couldn't deliver what they wanted.

At the top level you need to be good enough to overcome roughhouse tactics, or to adjust your game plan if the ref won't allow the style you prefer. Parker needs to get better because all the post match complaints in the world won't change things one iota.

 

I don't know John Conway but you have got to be kidding about Reville. He is one of the worst I have ever seen. Take a look at Darchiniyan Gorres if you want to see some of the worst ever refing. He missed 3 kd's and it cost Darchinyan a win. In one of Horns early fights he got cut and his trainer wanted out. Reville told them it would go to the cards but it's ok because Horn's in front. The correct ruling should have been Horn L rtd. If you think Revilles a good ref I'd be highly suspicious about your assessment of the other guy.
