Would you like to see an american prizefighter series? or even prizefighter series from other countries?
i think it would work better than "The Contender" series the states had during the advent of the stupid ass reality TV craze. The format is intriguing and it may not attract the Butterbean toughman types if the idea of actually having to have some sort of professional record to qualify is required.
US Heavyweight Prizefighter; Ray Austin Shannon Briggs Tye Fields Jason Gavern Lamon Brewster Cedric Boswell Dominic Guinn Jason Estrada Offer $100k prize, which is far more than any of them will earn in a while. Stick it on ESPN.
Perhaps for a lighter weight class, like Welterweight: Zab Judah David Estrada Paul Spadafora Randall Bailey Luis Collazo Steve Forbes winner gets $250K and a fight with Shane Mosley. Or Light Heavyweight: Jeff Lacy Jermaine Taylor Shaun George Otis Griffin Yusaf Mack Prince Badi Ajuma winner gets 250K a fight with Roy Jones Jr., 50K bonus if they win.
It sorta was with the contender, but instead of just making it about boxing they wanted to put a reality show touch on it which was a mistake. Apparently, I don't know if this is true probably not, they used to air unedited versions of the contender and have it like a FNF with Joe Tessitore and Teddy Atlas commentating.
