Would You Like To See COTTO Vs. SERGIO ?

Would be a relatively big event, compared to anything Sergio has been involved in. And I think Sergio would rise to the occasion and put a hurting on Cotto. I wouldn't mind seeing this fight, but, it's a clear mismatch, IMO.

I think Cotto is less shot than most people believe and he will beat Margo, however Sergio is way too much for him. I would rather see him fight Berto at 150

 

Pointless fight for Cotto. Why fight a guy a division above you who you'd probaly lose to and who wouldn't even represent a huge payday? If Cotto can get past Margo, a rematch with Pac is an option, as is a fight with Berto. I'd also like to see Cotto vs. Alvarez.

 

Sure. I don't think it would be a bad fight at all. If Sergio is calling Manny and Floyd to come to 154, he can fight Cotto at 154. I'm not even a fan of Cotto, but he's really not that bad as the way some people portray him to be. He lost to Margarito and he's lost to Manny. Most everyone loses to Manny so big deal. You can outweigh someone by 20 lbs and still win. You may not be able to knock the opponent, but if you have a gameplan, that weight difference can be neutralized somewhat.

Cotto has been in with some great fighters in his career. Can we say the same about Martinez? I take nothing away from Martinez because his record is great. His knockout of P Williams was for the ages. But other than that defining moment, what do we have?

 

Sexy Sergio stops Cotto. Cotto doesn't exactly excel against southpaws. The real question is whether Sergio stops him through scar tissue or his chin.

That pile of blood Sergio left on Pavlik's face is capable of happening to Cotto too.

 

Miguel is a warrior who'll fight anyone. He said he'd be willing to fight Martinez even at 160, and gave Arum the go-ahead to make the deal. Martinez turned it down because he wanted DiBella to be part of the promotion (see below). I'm getting sick of hearing Martinez and his Sergiosexuals disrespecting great warriors like Cotto and Pacquiao.

At 154, if Cotto looks real good against Margarito.

 

Look at his resume. Look at his run at welter where he fought 6 of top fighters in 8 fights, the best of the best - Pacquiao, Margarito, Mosley, Clottey, Quintana, judah. And he doesn't call out smaller fighters, unlike Martinez and the guy in your avatar.
