I have mixed feelings about this, one part of me really wants and hope that Tito can come back and be competive at the top level, the other part of me thinks that Tito is too old and definetly too inactive to really get back what he once had.

If it were a serious and sustained comeback, at a reasonable weight, then ok.

But, coming back for one fight in some ridiculous scenario like fighting RJJ at 170, and then not being seen again for another few years....what is the point of that?

What gets me about Tito is that he's obviously fighting just for money. To make it worse, he doesn't even have the discipline to fight at his ideal weight.

Yes. I'd love to see him fight Pavlik and get stopped.

I want to see him earn a shot at the title. He lost his last 2 fights.

I'd love to see him fight again, only at 160lbs or below though. Let him fight Duddy at 160.

As a bit of a Tito fan, I say he is insane to even consider coming back. I don't want him back, no way. Seeing a once-great fighter take a spanking from someone not good enough to lace his boots (a la Tarver-Jones, Johnson-Jones, Calzaghe-Jones) is the saddest sight in boxing. And that's what would happen to Tito if he fought any quality opponent anywhere from 147-175.

Why not? He held his own with RJJ and it seems that he is adamant about not making 154 or 160. I mean if he wants to get the bug out of him, then fight at 168 with a couple of top contenders and if he wins, go for one of the titles. If he loses to a contender or looks real bad, then hang them up for good. I just have a feeling we are going to read that he is returning. Hopefully not, but if he does the above is what I am going with.

He has shown he doesn't want to actually get into great shape. So, no.

Absolutely..Great post and the worst part about it, is some cats who don't know better will base that on their thinking of that fighter..

Either get in shape or just f*ck it.
