Would you like to see fighters being called out to the ring like they used to?

They were fun to watch, I admit it. Also, I always assumed they were part of the show, the art of hyping a fight. I remember Ali hyping so many fights when I was a kid. He’d say crazy stuff about his opponent and what he was going to do to them. Ali wasn’t the dignified guy he became after he left the ring but you always knew he was a fun, good spirited guy. Many people hated him for the trash talking but as a kid, I loved it.

Fighters probably don’t do it as often these days because they have no intention of fighting their top competitors. How many years have we waited for Spence Crawford? We have too many fighters these days protecting the 0 on their record. Guys like Tank Davis who ONLY fights no hope opponents. He doesn’t call guys out because he has no intention to fight them. He called out Taylor on Twitter and even fought at his weight but you would need to drag Tank into the ring to fight a guy like Taylor. Heck, he has been at lightweight for a while and still hasn’t faced a top five opponent. Can you imagine him calling someone out? Be careful what you ask for.
