Some of those old 15 rounders were great it was almost like a marathon who could stay on their feet til the end of grueling fight basically won on heart and instincts it also gave champions a massive advantage, theyd fight several 15 rounders and chances are the challenger never had now some guys have more 12 round experience than the guy with the belt
I feel 12 rounds is bias against the smaller weaker guy, he can never get to equalize or com e back from a down fight. You don't get the 13th round kos. A guy can win way easier in 12 ronds than 15 ithout even being good or using strategy.
No not really, 12 rounds enough to prove you should win in my opinion. Well there could be a arguemnt for fights like JCC sr and jr. But hey you deserve to win if you win, simple as that really. (Excluding robberies)
No. I'd rather have 12 rounds of more compressed action. All it would be is 9 extra minutes of clinching and circling each other because the guys today have **** stamina.
Exactly! It's ridiculous! A lot of fighters back in the day, used to fight every month too. They weren't all scheduled 15 rounders, but they were all fit and capable of fighting often. If a professional boxer who's earning millions of dollars can't fight for 15 rounds, then I despair.
Yes, it sorts the men from the boys. I don't want to see any guy get hurt (obviously) but the champs are making millions of dollars. I think we deserve to see 15 round fights.
Great post! But a pro fighter with a strength and conditioning coach and a three month camp etc, should be ashamed if he's not able to fight for 15 rounds.
