just style wise? seeing southpaw vs southpaw? I think Usyk outboxes him late and wins a decision but the early rounds would be interesting.
Zhang would be the most likely to KO Usyk if he connected, has more power then AJ and Fury you would think but... Usyk is too good most likely win a wide UD.
Zhang has a punchers chance early but that's it. Usyk would probably win via very wide UD with Zhang's lack of workrate.
I'm softening my stance on this a little. I think Zhang is too old, but Zhang does have those heavy hands like Foreman. Maybe similar to Foreman he can push the typical age limits of heavyweight. I would actually like to see him get a title shot, but the reality is he will at least be 42 years old before he gets one. Zhang has the Olympic pedigree, his technique and power are going to carry for the coming years. If his team can just focus on conditioning I would be more excited to see him take on Usyk. But realistically, can anyone at present see him managing the pace Usyk is going to set over 12? The older Zhang gets the more we are talking about his punchers chance. Until he proves otherwise, by showing he can successfully see out a 12 round fight and win on the cards. So, whilst he could theoretically stop Usyk. At present it's hard to get excited about such a fight. Though Zhang definitely deserves a title shot before he retires. Same as Joyce did...
Imagine if Usyk beats Fury again then raddles off 3 or 4 big HW fights against the top guys before retiring.. it'd be a great resume.
It doesn't. Zhang is old, two losses. Besides weight means nothing. Jarrell Miller is 600 lbs and beating him would mean nothing.
I think Usyk has Zhang sucking wind by the 4th and slaps him around for the rest of the fight. 10-2 9-3 type fight. Zhang too slow with very limited gas tank.
Yes I want to see that. Usyk is World Champion right? Then fight guys from around the world. Not only Brits.
Zhang with his gas tank and Usyk propensity to come on strong in the 2nd half of fights doesn't bode well for Zhang. Parker evaded him and took his best shots, no reason to think Usyk doesn't do the same, only in even more dominant fashion. It's an ok fight but Parker is more deserving of a shot.
The last fellow southpaw Zhang faced almost KO'd him. Usyk hits a lot harder than Jerry Forrest, has a better chin and is far more defensively sound. Sure.... bring it on!
