they were just taking advantage of you then mate. lol

If your sitting at a bar you tip at the end. if you want really good service maybe tip at the beginning if its busy and make your intentions clear.

still my point is, you have more money in your pocket here.

    £145.50 a year for a tv licence

£40 odd pounds a month for a basic sky sports package.

    £10 a month for boxnation

yes you get the football with sky and loaded tv and what not, but how many shows do you actually get for all that?

According to Wikipedia, the average household income is higher in the UK than the US. Figures are from 2007 though.

I think generally most professions will be a bit better paid in the US, but these figures reflect the whole of society. There are bigger gulfs between the wealthy and the poor in America which will lower the average household income.

If it was my only way of watching it, I'd pay $70-80 to watch a fight like Pacquiauo vs. Mayweather which is what it normally is for a Mayweather fight over there I think but no way would I pay that much in the real world where there are plenty of other ways I can watch it.

you need the license for the other stuff otherwise your just asking for a fine

TV is ****ing ****. if its on its either on the movie channel or sports channel both which cost money

just pointing out the price the US pays is not to dissimilar to whats paid in the uk for a ppv event

I never ever paid for a TV license.

You would still have to buy a cable package and HBO to watch boxing.

I have never paid for a PPV. Nothing to do with cost of living or what I can afford, it's just I'm a tight *******.
HDMI cable does the job for me.
