I would pay to watch this fight purely to watch PBF entertain us and give Matthew Hatton the schooling of his life...:yep

You have to deserve an opportunity to share a ring with PBF and MH does not deserve this opportunity...As I have posted previously, he needs to get himself to the top domestically and have another fight with Watson...:yep

I just hope they don't make this fight for the sake of boxing...:-(

i would seriously be worried for hattons health if this fight got the go-ahead.he's **** and a fight against mayweather,or should i say a demolition job on him against mayweather,would really affect his confidence

Floyd will still have a low workrate and coast to a victory. You overrate the man, the fact he is even considering a fight with Hatton shows what kinda' fighter he is.

He has the ability to destroy Hatton inside a round. But he won't do it. He'll use his usual low punch output and win a wide decision.

 

If this joke fight comes off, surely even Floyds biggest nut huggers could not defend him?

His last outing vs JMM (2+ divisions his junior) was laughable enough..this would just confirm yet again hes scared to fight a pulse.

 

I'd probably go just to say I'd seen Floyd fight when he was over here. I went to Tyson-Francis for similar reasons.

There was very little progression in Tysons skills either, people were looking for him to get back to somewhere near his pre-prison form but he never came close. I used to have countless discussions with Tyson fans who always claimed to have noticed some subtle improvement in Tysons latest fight that could be worked upon to bring him nearer the impossible prime Tyson.

He got it because of his name, people felt cheated out of a Lewis-Tyson fight and even a watered down version was acceptable to them.

On your first point I totally agree, his best win post jail was over a disinterested (and scared to death) Bruno...... I guess a lot of people invested loads in him in terms of support and were in denial, I wasn't that interested in boxing back then but can remember wanting to know what all the fuss was about....

On your second point, would it be fair to say that Lewis's loss to Rahman made the fight closer to reality, or would it have happened anyway?

 

I think Tyson had enough people fooled (or thinking wishfully) that he had one big performance in him if he was trained and was motivated properly.

My recollection was that even people 'in the know' who were realistic over Tysons chances still wanted to see him fight Lewis. He still had that aura and was still a lot more marketable than any other propective opponent.

My guess is that the fight would have happened anyway.....

 

Horrible, disgusting, awful, terrible fight.

Would i pay to see it? Yes.

Why? A chance to see Floyd Mayweather fight.

Its like Barrera v Khan, most people i talked to on the night where there because of Barrera. Part of the reason i went was because of that.
