It's not clear to me that he beats Marvin Hagler.

Hmmm, I could see me favoring him over Braddock, Baer, Carnera, the Willard who fought Dempsey. Those would be the only three. However, I wouldn't be 100% confident in that expect for Carnera and Willard. I do believe he'd be too strong for any super middle though.

Yer that's a bit of a stretch, I guess it's no elusion that Burns doesn't to so well in head to head match ups.

Would be interesting to see how he'd fair with Corbett.

Plenty of super-middles were actually bigger men than him. Imagine if some of those guys didn't cut weight during training camp...

But if they didn't cut weight wouldn't that make them light heavies? I can't imagine any super middle taking a beating from Johnson for 14 rounds. I think that kind of shows Tommy's strength and durability and Tommy could knock out heavyweight sized men.

But they wouldn't take a beating from him for 14 rounds; they would outbox him.

Most super-middles are actually already cruiser-weights come fight night. They would probably be even bigger cruiserweights if they didn't cut weight at camp. My point was that many of the men who have been fighting at 168 over the past 30 years are naturally bigger men than him and wouldn't look outsized in the ring against him.

No, the guy was a welterweight, even if he's decently skilled and all, he was a welterweight.

I don't remember how I thought that, but I really believed it that day. Moorer didn't move his feet enough.

Burns seems to have been a much better light heavyweight, than he was a middleweight.

ItÂ’s not clear to me that he beats Marvin Hagler either.

I see what you're saying mrkoollkevin. I was trying to say that they'd have to come in weighing as much as a light heavy or cruiser to beat him not weighing 168 pounds though. However I agree I could see Hagler and probably even Greb beating him.
