How do most of you perceive the occassional nut shot? I've seen some people label this act as a show of bad sportsmanship while other label it as being crafty/smart. What are your opinions?

I personally don't like it. It is trying to get an advantage without displaying boxing skill.

The only time I would not critize a low blow would be if its a revenge shot. Tit fot tat.

    I hate it
its taking a ***** way out
if you cant beat a man and have to low blow then you are not as good
you should take your beating like a man and accept defeat

With Golota I don't think it is 'a show of bad sportsmanship' or 'being crafty/smart'. The man is a ****ing nut-job and just fighting on instinct......as in 'anything goes'.

I don't think that much of dirty fighting, unless it's extreme.

I'm used to fighters bending the rules to their advantage.

    When it's extreme, a la Pedroza-Laporte, then I have a problem.

Tactical low blows are like admitting inferiority. The fighter is saying he's desperate.

I do not see anything smart or crafty in hitting low.

    depends.
hopkins used light shots and knees to the thigh and cup to make his man do a double take.
robin reid was known for spitting when his man was jabbing then comeback with his own 1-2.

if your using it for a technical advantage then i have no problems. somthing like hittign low when your hurt is a bit puss but it's the refs job to stop it.
