Would you prefer Dana White to speak his mind, or to be a bland, PC, secretive type?

Lotta people HATE Dana White because of his perceived disrespect and habit of running his mouth and talking ****.

Would you prefer that the President of the UFC had a completely different style? That he was more a typical corporate suit type, who spoke in bland generalities, never had a good quote, kept the fans in the dark and never gave an interview worth watching?

The way I see it, I enjoy White's willingness to speak his mind and put all of his fighters in risky matchups.

I like that he flat out states "Guys who put on a good show and lose get more chances than guys who put on boring displays and lose."

I like that he talks **** on fighters when talking **** is warranted. For instance, I loved that he raged against Anderson when Anderson made a mockery of the sport against Maia. He didn't make excuses for Anderson, he said that it was a disgrace and he was embarrassed. He called it how he saw it, and I respect that.

Yeah I can see this to a certain extent, but GSP did have a legitimate eye injury last time out and so can't be blamed for merely coming up with a win instead of a finish. However he didn't disrespect his opponent.

With regards to Kos, I think that was more a case of a guy just enjoying beating the living **** out of an inferior opponent who had been antaganizing him on a personal level for months.

And another thing to consider is that GSP's fighting style is not as crowdpleasing as Anderson's. GSP has to make an effort to fight in a really exciting manner, Anderson's style is far more exciting when he chooses to engage.

You remember wrong. For the last couple of rounds it was Maia who was trying to press the action. He was completely outclassed right from the start, but Silva took the **** out of him, insulted him and refused to engage him. Silva could have finished the fight virtually at will, but instead he chose to clown around, disrespect his opponent, his boss and the sport in general, and waste the fan's time and money. And this was the second time in three fights he had done this. :good

Yeah, he called him the p4p #1 and also said flat out that he would throw him out of the organization if Silva disrespected the sport like that again. I respect that. :good

All but three. And they were three of his last four fights at that stage. He seemed disinterested, bored and unwilling to engage against Cote, Leites, and then Meia.

No, that's the price he could have paid for being an ******* in the cage, disrespecting the **** out of his opponents and ripping off the fans who have paid good money to see a fight from one of the great legends of the sport. :good

I wouldn't have kicked him out of the UFC. He's done too much to kick him out after two or three bad efforts. But one more performance where he mocks and insults his opponent, looks bored, refuses to fight and generally disrespects everybody who pays money to see him fight, and I would have liked to see him face sanctions.
