Does anybody else wish there was one belt per weight division? You are either the world champion or your not. All these belts just seems pointless and takes away from the prestige of being the real champ.

Multiple belts in each division would not be bad if there was a tournament every 4 years like a world cup. The four major belt holders have a tournament. the way it is now is too convoluted!

Totally, that way people like Golovkin and Kovalev would stop pretending to be champions and would have no choice but to accept the demands of Canelo and Stevenson thus enabling the fights to happen quicker.

I wish one organization ran boxing, rankings where fair and based on a mathematical formula, there was set purse based on your ranking, If you are world champion you get paid x amount of millions. challengers get paid x amount. etc, It would give people more drive to want to retain the belt and win the belt. Will never happen but we can still dream.

It's not the orgs, it's the promoters.

Who would want more than one belt per division?
The most disgusting thing is that IBO is gaining traction. IBO, WBO, IBF, WBA, Super WBA, WBC - PATHETIC.

Exactly. Anything less, with competing promoters making fights means we're going to continue with multiple champions who have little obligation to fight the best. AIBA has the start of a model to run boxing completely, but there are so many obstacles to its growth, especially in the US, and, well we know how they ran the Olympics and that they were so unaccountable for bad decisions and charges of corruption, so it's hard to be too excited about them running pro boxing.

You can´t get paid x amount of millions if you don´t put asses in seats. Why can´t fans understand this?

Certainly. Ducking would be almost impossible, because in situations like Spinks/Tucker, Bowe/Lewis and Canelo/Golovkin, dropping the belt means dropping the championship and be totally ridiculed after.

We would get the best fights if they want to be the champion or actually defend it. No chicken moves, no diva antics, no a-side and b-side meth bull.

Boxing will never be perfect but it would be so much better.

WWE is now following boxing's act. There are now two championships, Raw and Smackdown.

Fans don't have to understand this.

We aren't financial fans nor accounting fans. We're boxing fans.
