Would you put Donald Curry up against any of the ATG WW's or MW's?

Fact of the matter is most of the top contenders and great champions *( SRL )...chose to stay away from guys like Curry, McCalum, and Honeyghan for a reason. They were all straight badasses.

But could Curry stand up to ATG's?..SRL, Hearns, Robinson, Duran etc...

I've always wondered how Curry would do against Haglar but I believe 9 outa 10 times Haglar may come out with the UD.

But they would be brutal fights!..

Haglar and Robinson might have been his two toughest opponents, SRL and Duran would probably found a way to beat Curry probably goin to the cards, but I dont think they would have been as brutal to what Marvin and guys like DLH in there prime...

classics. currys style could frustrate a slightly faded marv..his reflexes and speed were absurd. if he utlized more movement i would favour a non drained, fresh curry who had just enough pop to make things fun

Donald Curry needed a manager like Angelo Dundee or Gil Clancy to step in and move him up to the highest level. Manager Dave Gorman had done a good job of getting him to the title....then some bad outside forces came into Ft. Worth and convinced Curry to dump Gorman and from that point in time it was downhill for Curry.

I don't see anything he ever did that would remotely suggest he could compete evenly with a really good middleweight. As Lora said, he'd have a lot of good matchups at 147. In fact, I think he takes the measure of most except the truly top tier there.

too small and once Marvin started to put pressure on him, Donald would not hold up well.
