Would you put Donald Curry up against any of the ATG WW's or MW's?

At 154 he would have pretty much looked just Like Haglar but with a slight reach advantage.....So I dont understand the " too small " talk...

Hagler was a solid middleweight with a 75 inch reach. Curry looked small with McCallum and Marvin was bigger than Mike at the time.

But weight wise he's still gonna look like a MW..

Thats pretty much a given, Haglar was just the naturally bigger man in this fight..

I can't see Curry beating any of the elite welters. Lloyd Honeyghan was very good but not quite in the same class as the likes of Robinson,Leonard,Napoles and Hearns. And look at what Lloyd did to Curry ! Even a Duran, the way he was in Montreal. Same applies to Middleweights of the top tier.

Hearns and Hagler are interesting to compare because upper body Hearns compares well with Hagler, but legs Hagler has much bigger legs..

I used to love watching honeyghan fight though after the curry fight he seemed to forget to defend properly

Lloyd started to think he had power after Gene Hatcher. He was an offensive fighter, but not great defense, which is why people thought Curry could counterpunch him.

he was fast. something Donald and his corner didn't anticipate. I remember he was hitting Donald with right hands which Donald had no defense for, but he started to believe in his own power and gave up on defense. In his fight with Starling, I wish he would have kept hitting Starling on the top of ths head. He hit Starling on the top of the head in one earlier round and wobbled Marlon, but I don't think he realized it.

I remember being at the honeyghan/blocker fight and thinking he will never be able to keep this pace up all fight and in the last couple of rounds honeyghan was left with fumes in the tank and was very happy to hear that bell at the end of the fight
