Now that you've seen Mayweather Snr train Hatton, would you still put him in charge of training Cotto for a possible megafight in December?

Yeah, he's still a great trainer, and Cotto is already a boxer himself who has great reflexes and can pick off shots with his gloves, but due to his stance there are certain punches he just can't see coming at all, so he has no defense for them

So with that said, Floyd could really help tighten up his defense, and make him a much better fighter IMO, I've always thought they would make a perfect team

I don't know if Mayweather Sr would be the right trainer for Cotto to be honest. I'm not doubting his ability as a trainer, I'm not sure Cotto's style and demeanour suit Sr's training methods and personality. Fighter and trainer have to be a team. They have to gel.

**** no i wouldnt put that dumbass in charge of any fighter, hes very overrated other than training his son what has he done as a trainer to deserve the atention he receives?

he doesnt care about the fighters he trains he wants to be the star of the show and they steal the spotlight away from him ,for some reason he only seems to train fighters for a couple of fights till they go they´re separate ways and after that happens he talks **** about the fighters like he will do with Hatton.

I wouldn't put mayweather sr, the scum bag that he is, in charge of tieing his own shoes.
In boxing today, this man is the worst thing for the sport.

He's an over paid, overrated, over hyped, opportunistic douche bag who has no place in boxing.

my comments are for a 1 fight bases. Because cotto needs someone of a high level. Hiring some next guy is not gonna cut it vs the best

They don't mesh for a billion different reasons. The perfect trainer for Cotto would be Manny Steward but Manny seems all locked up with Wlad.
