To add, Carlos Zarate was 52-0 til his first loss. Ruben Olivares was something like 60-0-1 before his first loss. 50-0 is really not a big deal.

Well I have watched the sport religiously for 50 & facts mater especially in boxing.he lost his first fight with Castillo & was given a gift decision. It is very hard to judge because he avoided some greàt opponents in their prime he could have proven himself but.he went 50 fights without a loss big deal.robinson who Floyd says he was better went 93 fights without a loss & just 1 loss in his first 127 fights.he won the middle belt a record 5 times & at a time when there was only 1 belt for division not like 4 today this greatness & has nothing on robinson.when I was growing up we got to see great fights Leonard,Hearns,Duran,Hagler, Pryor, Arguello etc.all these fighters have losses because they all fought each other & in more cases than not some times2-3 times. they had heart & back bone.like I said Floyd is hard to judge you can't beat a 39 year old Mosley or 35 year old Oscar & lay claim to have beaten two great boxers at 35 & 39 your skills have depleted big time.hearns 6'1 78 inch reach hardest ww puncher of all time would have put Mayweather to sleep actually no because Floyd would have avoided him as well.

Not at all.i have been watching the fight game for 50 years & not seen a boxer avoid other top boxers like floyd.he cared more about his 0 than proven himself the best.robinson fought the best at 147 & 160 & went 93 fights without a loss & only 1 loss in his first 129 fights & had no choice but to fight the best. He won the 160 pound mw belt a record 5 times & again at a time with only 1 belt which means you had to fight the best to win.carlos Monzon went 83 fights without losing Chavez 90 fights without a loss.willie pep went 74 fights without a loss would lose one then go another 63 fights without losing.these were all great boxers & Floyd has nothing on these greats.you do not run away from a super fight you run to it.floyd wanted random blood with Pacquiaoanny said no he calls the fight off,one week later Pacquiao agrees to his demands Floyd says to late then 7 years ago by when Pacquiao skills in have depleted & we two over boxers fighting earning a record 300 million.when Pacquiao agrees to it

He ducked, which was the reason he couldn't become undisputed.

That was a while ago but I don't recall organizations being as into unification then as they are now. I thought at least one pair had rules against sanctioning a fight for the other's belt holder. That wouldn't have affected his entire career since it spanned multiple eras of sanctioning body politics but it played a role.

I've kind of gone the other way. People have something to say about every one of his wins. This one was too small, the other was weight drained. Oscar was too old, Canelo was too young. When was Floyd small, or drained, or old, or young?

There's really never a perfect time or weight for a fight, everyone is always dealing with something. He had the advantage in negotiations but so have a lot of fighters who accomplished a lot less.

On the other hand, when you make a billion dollars and walk around calling yourself TBE you invite criticism.

During the lead up to manny next fight vs Margarito they team came out and said they never agreed to drug testing. Manny team also said after Marquez III that they had a cut that would heal for 6 months vs Floyd, said they couldn’t fight Floyd because they needed to build a stadium, it took Floyd running up on Manny at a Miami heat game for the fight to actually happen.
Thank you for proving my point it’s nothing but documented evidence that Manny Pacquiao ducked Floyd just like a lot of guys ducked Floyd, yet because of the character fans will discredit him and ignore the blatantly obvious.

It's funny isn't it? All this stuff is well documented and can be easily looked up. Hell I used to post a video of Roach saying it was their fault the fight didn't happen but pbf haters simply ignore all this because they want to spam their agenda filled narrative.

That is a crock it was Manny Pacquiao who went up to Floyd at that area to try to get Floyd in the ring & that is a fact. When knocked Hatton out in the 2nd round something Floyd took 11 Rds to do his trainer said live it's time for the talk to end Floyd let's get the fight to happen this is what the people want. Roach said this live after a year of trying to get Floyd in the ring but no it took another 6 years for that chicken to fight him of coarse Manny's skills had depleted & is the reason he finally took the fight. There was never a question of Manny's willing to fight anyone that was never the problem Manny was game for anyone that is a champion.the only mistake he made was saying no to the random blood test but a week later agreed to it but Floyd said no because that was his way out of the fight. Floyd knew he would have had big problems with a prime Manny as most greats go that would have been a challenge to prove themselves great by beating someone like not Floyd his 0 was to important to lose.

No. This hoarding of belts is a fairly recent phenomenon; when Floyd was active, all anyone cared about was the lineal title.

And Bayless helping him, stacking the deck further with glove choices and steroid abuse and blood tests for the opponent.
Thats why I always say there are too much smoke and mirrors with that guys career.
I wish he just lost vs Castillo like he did and then no more bs ducking but really putting his skills to the test. He might have had a few losses more but he would be praised even higher among real boxing fans. But he got more bank this way and a bunch of materialistic fans cheering this way. So its a win for him I guess.
