    Boxer's champ. They know what's going on, if you get respected by boxers, then that means you are the true People's Champ anyway.

    People, like fans, are just crazy nationalistic fanatics most of the times and just root in terms of race. When different pro boxers from different countries all say the same thing about you, that you are great and they have never seen any one work as hard as you, that would hold more weight to me and ultimately in your legacy.

    Let's use an anime real quick.

    Hercules/Mr Satan from Dragonball Z = People's Champ. Loved by everyone, they don't know what's really going on. But when he stepped up he got his ass handed to him easily.

    Goku = The actual real champ, respected by the rest of the fighters. Easily beats up the guys who beat Hercules.
