    people's champ. high ppv fosho.

    boxer's champ like rigo, ward, john. casual fans doesnt even know them.

    I have to go with Boxer's Champ. Being a people's champ is fine, but they might like you for reasons that have very little to do with your performance in the ring.

    People's champ. I look at Manny and JC. Chavez and I have so much respect. These guys influenced ****ing nations.

    I remember one of my friends went to the Philippines during a Pacquiao/Marquez fight, and he said the entire island stopped to watch Pacquiao. Would be amazing to be in that kind of spotlight.

    That was the point of the post.

    He was not a real champion, people just thought he was. All smoke and mirrors. Reminds me of a certain fighter who recently got knocked out cold by some one another criticized boxer beat easily.

    To be a peoples champion you got to be a take two to give one type. I'd rather be a take none to give two type. I'd rather be a boxers champion. I can still make good money and would be more likely to have my health in the long run.

    a people's champ like Frazier, Gatti, Mancini, Hagler etc. people will pay to see a fighter like that and pass down stories and make kids watch videos. No one is gonna do that for a Andre Berto or Devon Alexander

    People's champ for sure. It's one of the reasons Ali is so overrated today and no one remembers Willie Pep.

    I would like to be the kind of champ that leaves the game relatively healthy which is probably closer to the boxer's champ

    lol Devon isnt a boxer's champ. A boxer's champ would be someone like Rigo.

    To answer the question: i'd rather be a boxer's champ. Popularity doesn't interest me, but excellence in my field absolutely does. The popularity contests are for high school IMO. Adult's shouldn't need love from people outside of their immediate circle.
