Would you rather see Pacquiao fight Juan Diaz or Juan Manuel Marquez?

.....for you *******s out here now, read this whole 2007 thread and see that it was no different then than it is now......Just about the whole forum but a few of us thought Pacquiao vs Marquez 2 was a mismatch of a fight.

Kinda underscores how good JMM actually out to be.

 

it's always have been after a dominating fight. if pac-jmm3 happened to be another tought contest even if a stoppage in the middle or the later rounds, the victor would be given still a credit especially marquez in his circumstance now.

There were two general opinions in this thread.

1. Pac would duck a marquez rematch. Yet the rematch took place a few months after this thread was made and pac got the sd win. Considering marquez performance that night and since, it seems a lot of you were wrong about jmm being shot

2. Diaz would beat or at least give pac a very hard time. But pacquiao fought him Straight after jmm and destroyed a guy many ppl on here thought would beat pac!

What this thread proves is pac did the two things most of us on esb doubted he'd do.

This thread was about Juan Diaz not David Diaz.

 

well after david diaz, he fought greater, bigger and much tougher opponents than a juan diaz would represent. even jmm proved that juan diaz is not as good as we previously have thought or jmm just proved that he would still be a great fighter at LW.

I've admitted several times I was dead wrong about Marquez in those days. When it came the time for Marquez and Diaz to fight, I bet big money on Marquez even though the odds were not great

 

Marquez did better than I expected, full props to him. But it's true that if Pac had beat him easily, people would just say he beat a past prime fighter. Same thing this time.

At the end of the day I am happy that Pac fought Marquez instead of Diaz. Marquez went on to prove that Diaz is not in his class. Not even close.
