Would you rather see Pacquiao fight Juan Diaz or Juan Manuel Marquez?

Bumping really old threads to ridicule certain posters is ****in' lame.

 

While I agree, by looking at the nature of these posts, Marquez fighting Pacquiao to such a close split decision (arguably beating him) and then beating Juan Diaz who was consideredd the tougher challenge to Pacquiao by nearly half of the poll participants must have impressed a lot of people, by their own logic. Something changed the perspective we have on their careers in hindsight, part of it rabid fanboyism. It's funny to see the same concerns about JMM's age and lightweight Juan Diaz's size a concern for Pacquiao (a once appreciated fighter who is now ridiculed by those who try to discredit JMM's resume.)

 

Juan Diaz was an okay fighter. Nothing more, really.

 

But, that's not what happened here, gentle Addie. :-(

He was certainly more than okay, to be in a FOTY with Marquez and have unified three of the four major belts in his weight class, I'd think. Not great, but pretty good, says the evidence, imo.

 

Okay, decent, pretty good. Same shiz. I 'spose it shines on JMM's resume though.

 

Bias. It's very ugly.

I honestly didn't ever think much of Juan Diaz. It was a pretty good win over a decent opponent, but nothing more. Sorry lad.

 

The guy is a comedy genuis. No question.
