Is there really a big difference between Chagaev, or Ibragimov? Not really. I am happy with a title unification match against an un-defeated fighter in his prime. The question is, will this match be exciting. I think so. Ibragimov has good speed, and is a lefy who can hit. The relationship between the two fighters may be at odds as well. Wlad and Sultan don't seem to care fore each other much. Wlad isn't one to talk smack, but he did say he's going to end Ibragimov's career. Wlad has already beaten many former and some current top ten guys. Povetkin is a match that will happen in a year if Povetkin and Wlad keeps winning.
Sam has improved, and he's shown he can come back. Had not the McCline knockdowns happen, Sam's at "A" level, but the knockdowns have caused a storm cloud to form over his future. If he beats OLEG, then here we go again. What happens next: Vitali? Oh, sh*t.
Wladimir was actually born in Borats homecountry of Kazakhstan! (Not sure why he betrayed his country and pretended to be from Ukraine though)
Good fight for Wladimir, only better fight out there is a fight with Chagaev so this is a perfect fight for him.
Because his father was stationed there in the military I believe at the time of his birth. I have one cousin who was born in Germany and his brother was born in Japan since that's where my Uncle was stationed while he served in the Air Force. They are both still Americans, not German or Japanese.
Was his parents not from the Ukraine. His father was a general in the Soviet Army and was stationed there. That's like claiming Ken Norton was Irish because he was born in county Derry Ireland, but like Klitschos father, Nortons father was merely stationed there when his son was born, doesn't make Norton Irish or Klitscho from Kazakhstan.
:good Yes. This fight is the cure for what ails the heavyweight division. Not an instant cure, no,but a start. And a good start, too.
