Hopkins has been a great fighter and still has enough to beat,Joe I just don't see it happening but I don't think anyone would be surprised.....

Good post. Why did you not just make posts like this from ths start? I don't agree with a lot of it but at least theres some rationale in it. You are, however, wrong about my feelings on this fight which have always been steadfast. Check my post history if you dont believe me.;)

I have stated in three separate threads how this fight will go so I wont repeat myself further but I believe it will be a close UD for Hopkins & have always said so just to make that absolutely clear.:D

I actually think this may be a pick'em fight. Hopkins, though very old...is probably the smartest fighter ive ever seen in the ring. Although at this point I think Calzaghe, another very smart fighter with a ridiculous workrate and southpaw stance, may have too much output for Hopkins.

But i'd love to see Hopkins do it. If he did, i dont think there's any doubt he is one of the 10-15 greatest fighters of all time. His record would be unbelievable.

  4. Apologies dan; I think we got off on the wrong foot. I come across brash because I steadfast believe Joe will win and I honestly can't see a loss coming and I truly believe Joe is that good and that under rated.

If the loss comes though I will put my hands up because it's not in my nature to bull****. If Hopkins does this he will have my utmost respect and truly he will be a legend (And I will not change my username / avatar) - as I stated though I really cannot see it happening all the same.

yes, if he will win by decision..he needs to k o calzaghe.still a tactician can do it like bernard but he needs to win convincingly as tko or ko otherwise it will be controversial if.... by decision..believe me..

He's fought anyone who wanted to fight him and avoided or ducked nobody and to be fair i bet you had lacy and kessler to beat calzaghe.
Everyones rubbish and was overhyped after they lose to calzaghe the fact is he is the man you don't keep those belts for that length of time by being overhyped.
Kessler would beat hopkins and you will find this out when calzaghe dominates & beats hopkins within 6 rounds this year.
The fact remains that Hopkins went out of his way to duck calzaghe you cannot dispute this, hopkins knows he will lose and always knew he would to calzaghe he is only fighting him now for a payday.

I would not be surprised Hopkins is the truth but Joe has to be the favorite!

Nothing wrong with the manfredo stoppage in fact it was to the letter of the law if you are taking punishment and not throwing back for a sustained period it's called off.:deal

I'm a massive Joe.C fan and i'd like to see nothing more than my fighter ruling the world, but it still wouldn't suprise me if B-pops wins. Thats what boxing is about, anything can happen. Dont think he will win mind you though Calzaghe by 8 rounds.

The more i think about this fight the more i think this will be a complete shutout by calzaghe and a probable KO within the first half of the fight hopkins is just too old now.

Can people please please please, i'm begging you all, just give it a rest with the slating of Calzaghe's career, you may have had a point before the Lacy fight as the likes of Mitchell and Brewer wern't good enough to put him at the top of a p4p list but to keep slating him now is just dumb!
