Would you really be surprised if Hopkins beats Calzaghe?

i'm favoring calzaghe to win, but i've never written off hopkins. i won't be surprised at all if hopkins gives joe a tough fight.

 

I have a lot of respect for what Hopkins has done in the past, there are some good achievements there. But the way I see this fight panning out NOW, is completely different because Hopkins has lost it. He's not the same fighter. Calzaghe isn't quite the same fighter either but he still has more than enough to beat this version of Hopkins handily.

To the dork who thinks Hopkins has a better jab than Joe, you're a disgrace. If you had argued that Hopkins lead right will be more effective than Joe's jab then you may have come across as vaguely intelligent. However, to say that Hopkins can outjab a Joe Calzaghe who just does not get hit by jabs is stupid. Hopkins nowadays is slower than most of Joe's recent opponents.

 

Dont call me a dork you Calzaghe back slapping ****. The point wasn't what would be more effective necessarily in this fight but who had a better jab which I maintain as Hopkins. Don't question my intelligence either. I bet if we searched each other post history you've made far more moronic comments than I have. It's prats like you that are turning me against Joe. I've had enough of talking about this fight now. I just hope he actually makes it to the ring this time.

 

Yes, but only because Hops doesn't let his hands go enough. I will be rooting for Hops but I think JC will clearly outwork him and be able to take the few good punches Hops lands well enough to last the distance.

It would seem you lot would be far happier there seeing as all you want to do is talk about Calzaghe & want everyone to worship him to the same degree as you.

I respect Calzaghe but ten years of WBO defences doesn't cut it for me. If Joe turns up I'm going for a Hopkins UD. What will you lot do then?

 

I won't hold it against you for going for a Hopkins UD. I'm not sure that you picking Boxer B over Boxer A has too much effect on my life in general.

But, if you mean 'what will I do if Hopkins beats Calzaghe by UD' then I will be very astounded and have a lot of respect for him providing that it's a genuine win.

you've certainly turned full circle over the past week for a guy who came on here at first preaching and moaning about some peoples behaviour on the general board.

 

I do apologise if I have offended anyone, I'm just tired of being constantly attacked by biased Calzaghe zealots. The irony being I actually like Calzaghe. I cant win though mate, if I type my normal way I'm accused of being boring & now I'm getting stick off you for defending myself slightly more aggresively than usual. It's pretty unfair that I'm being picked up for doing once what others do all the time.
